In your opinion, what are the best traits for a computer service technician to have that would show high-quality customer service as well as reputable quality in his/her work? Having good customer service skills is important for a business to engage customers by building strong relationships and keeping loyal customers. “Probably the most significant indication that an IT technician is doing a is that customers are consistently satisfied”. (Andrews, West, & Dark, 2017, pg. 546). Customers want to feel that they are able to relate to the technicians they work with. Computer service technicians work with different clients on a daily basis. Having good customer service skills is a great way to successfully complete a job. First impressions are important. You should arrive on time and have a professional appearance upon arrival. Honesty, telling the truth and integrity, doing what is right are also good customer service traits. Always be dependable performing agreed-upon actions, and responsible for your actions. Technicians will come into contact with diverse races, religions, and traditions, therefore having the ability to be sensitive toward other’s feelings and emotions are important. Communicating clearly and effectively is important. Being assertive without being pushy or bossy and respectful maintaining a positive attitude is good communication customer service skills to possess.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”. (NIV) Working in customer service you will have good days and bad days.
